We’ve worked with world renowned designers, Urban Design Associates, based in Pittsburgh, USA, studying Scottish buildings to recreate a layout and design likely to become an exemplar development for others to follow. And we’ve worked with the Prince’s Foundation For The Built Environment in the Enquiry by Design process, master-planning the long term future of Ellon.

Quality and choice

Our new homes in Ellon have been designed to provide variety and choice. Properties include one and two-bedroom flats, two-bedroom self-contained apartments with their own front door to the street, and larger three and four-bedroom houses.

There’s something for everyone – at every stage in life. There’s flexibility too, with the possibility of using the ground floor of some properties for commercial purposes. You’ll also find affordable housing, as well as homes with good access for those less able.

A real community

Castleton gives priority to people, not cars. So we’re building a walkable community – one where every home is ideally no more than a ten minute walk from the local amenities. And to make it easy to get around on foot, there will be interconnecting lanes – and no cul-de-sacs. Cars haven’t been forgotten though and there’s plenty of private parking space at the rear of the homes.
