One week after the big move
Your customer care adviser will contact you to make sure any warranted defects are put right and maintenance needs are met.
Six months on
You can take the opportunity to advise us of any items you would like us to inspect and we will arrange an inspection to fix or replace any warranted defects.
Two-year warranty period
During this period we will take responsibility for any warranted damage or defects. A defect is regarded as a breach of any NHBC requirement. Your NHBC booklet has full details.
Ten-year warranty period
Your new home is protected by the BuildMark ten-year warranty from the NHBC – it’s a ten-year insurance policy. Please read your BuildMark Cover document for full details.
The National House Building Council (NHBC)
The NHBC was established in 1936 to act as an independent regulator for the UK house building industry. It’s a non-profit making organisation with a role to protect you, the homebuyer. So it offers a wealth of useful information based on extensive industry experience.
