Scotia

design workshops

At Scotia, we never stop listening to your views, ideas and concerns. It’s part of what makes us – and our neighbourhoods – very different.

The process brings together key stakeholders who share a vision for a new or revived community. This is done through a workshop programme based on work by The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment. By its nature, every workshop is unique.

Workshop structure

  • Exploring key issues
  • Testing of initial concepts
  • Development of vision
  • Production and final presentation

Who is involved?
Workshop numbers can range from around 20 through to several hundred key stakeholders.

Local residents, along with landowners, local politicians, council officers and community representatives, are involved in sessions, as they are the key decision makers. Representatives who have an interest in, and knowledge about, the site under consideration are involved in key sessions.

Plus anyone interested in the particular site is genuinely welcome to come along.

The result is a shared vision, which is illustrated in the overall masterplan.

Design workshops are taking place at Brechin and Cove, Aberdeen.
