Scotia Homes are pleased to announce it is the first housebuilder in the UK to achieve a NextGeneration Project Gold Award for sustainability for its Brechin West development.
NextGeneration Project is a project specific sustainability assessment designed for any homebuilder to use to assess the sustainability of an individual development.
NextGeneration Project generates a sustainability award if the pre-qualifying issues and core requirements are met along with 7 additional criteria, for which Brechin West has received the highest recognition.
Previously reserved for the top 25 housebuilders in the UK, the NextGeneration Initiative - launched by Lloyds Banking Group - was expanded this year to support small to medium-sized housebuilders and provides the opportunity to benchmark the sustainability of individual developments via the NextGeneration Project category.
Scored across a range of criteria, including energy and carbon use, biodiversity net gain and resource use by the independent judges Jones Lang Laselle (JLL), Scotia entered its Brechin West development to the new tier and were awarded a Gold Award at the design stage – becoming the first recipient in the UK!
An opportunity to showcase the commitment to our Vision – to create desirable neighbourhoods and be regarded as the Developer of choice for all.

Brechin West is a contemporary collection of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and bungalows set within the west-end of Brechin, from £234,950.
