Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in our industry and the most prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers.
The judging began in July 2021 where thousands of site inspections and meticulous scoring and verification took place. NHBC automatically enter every site manager with a site registered for an NHBC Buildmark warranty into the competition therefore competition is fierce and awards are limited. With only 450 winners selected out of over 8,000 entrants in the UK (47 winners in Scotland alone), the recipients are amongst the best housebuilders.
Pride in the Job means a lot to the industry as it has driven up the quality of new build houses and homeowner satisfaction.
The competition raises standards in house building and inspires site managers and their teams to give just that little bit more, either to win their first award, get to the next level or simply continue a winning streak.
Former apprentice joiner, Fraser Stephen, continued his winning streak receiving this award for the second year; in 2021 for his site Knockhall in Newburgh and in 2022 for his site Chapelpark in Oldmeldrum. On top of Fraser’s continually high achievements, our Chapelpark Site Manager won Site Manager of the Year at The Trades Awards 2022.
Fraser commented on his recent awards: “It’s a real honour to receive a Pride in the Job Award for the second year running. The Awards are a personal goal every year and the recognition makes all the hard work worthwhile. I am hugely proud of my team who have risen to the ongoing challenges in the construction industry. They have gone the extra mile time-and-time again to deliver quality homes and this award is a recognition of their effort.”
Celebrating the company’s success, Martin Bruce, Managing Director at Scotia Homes, said: “We are immensely proud of Fraser, who has rightly been recognized for his quality of work at the Pride in the Job Awards for the second year running. Having joined the company in 2005 as an Apprentice Joiner, he has risen through the ranks at Scotia Homes and this award marks him as one of the country’s best housebuilders. To have set a new company record – with three winners at this year’s awards – is a real honour and I believe it is a testament of our dedication in delivering high-quality homes across Scotland.”
Huge congratulations to Fraser, Norman and Stephen for their achievements and Scotia Homes looks forward to supporting current and future Site Managers in attaining the Awards in 2023.
